We had a great discovery on Antelope Island today....
We found a sage grouse.  There has been a debate in the past whether or not to place grouse here, but it always came down to which species.  The bird decided to come on its own.
We saw one bird, hen, and she is just south west of the visitor center.  Not quite to the beach.
We had a pretty exciting time watching her and finally flushing her to see her fly.  Who knows, maybe we will have a nice population in the future.
