A real cold snap finally moved through and the ice is starting to form.
Moved a lot of birds on but some others came in.  A northern shrike and a
ruby-crowned kinglet were good finds for me.  The following birds were seen
within the survey route:

Great blue heron   5
Double-crested cormorants   1
Cattle egret   1
Great egret   1
Sandhill crane   132
Pied-billed grebes   7
Western grebe   4
Eared grebe   7
Wilson's snipe   17
Ring-billed gull   26
Red-tailed hawk   3
Northern harrier   4
