Red-throated loon

Steve Carr located the Red-Throated Loon on Hyrum Lake today at about noon.
It was visible from the beach area parking lot, about a mile east of the
main park entrance. (You might have to walk down the hill a ways to get a
look).

Also, here's a paragraph from yesterday's MN birdline. (Why are we here and
not there?)

The northern owl invasion occurring in northern Minnesota is turning out to
be fairly substantial, and there is currently over 40 NORTHERN HAWK OWLS
and more than 45 GREAT GRAY OWLS on record. It is impracticable to try to
list them all, so only those that are both easy to find and likely to be
found are being listed. (Their grammar, not mine)
