Greetings -
The Lee Kay Ponds were teeming with activity this
morning! I saw 25 species and Bob Walters in the short time I was
there. Firsts of the year for me were Franklin's Gull, Cinnamon Teal,
Snowy Egret and Great Egret. There were also Yellow-headed Blackbirds,
avocets, stilts, pelicans and Common Mergansers to name a few.
The egrets were best viewed by parking near the picnic table
just east of the gazebo and looking south and east across the
ponds.
