Jordan River Green Heron

Jack Holley just called me (his computer is down) about a pair of Green
Herons he's been seeing along Decker Lake Canal near where it empties
into the Jordan River. He thinks they might be nesting nearby, as he's
seen them in the same area on four of the last six days, including today
and yesterday. He's seen them at various times during the day.

To get to where he's seeing the birds, go to the Oxbow Trailhead on the
Jordan River Parkway along 1100 W at about 3000 S. Take the trail to the
north across the bridge to a "T" junction in the trail. Go right, and
follow the trail to another "T," where the Decker Lake Canal crosses the
trail. Take the left fork upstream along the canal. The birds have been
seen and heard along this part of the canal.

Good luck, and good birding!
