East Canyon, and Sage Grouse Lek

I, too, was at the lek this morning, and fortunate
enough to see KC and Eric. The grouse were very
active, and one large male in particular was
determined to chase all the lesser males away!
After watching the grouse, I headed to East Canyon
Reservoir. The Long Tailed Duck and White Wing
Scoters are STILL there!
A stop at the Lee Kay Ponds last night gave up several
Eared Grebes, a summer plumaged--and billed-- Ruddy
Duck, and a Pelican that was sporting the horned
growth on his bill, and several Avocets and
Cormorants.
