After striking out with Bob and Michael Bradley yesterday, while looking
for any good gulls at Farmington Bay, I decided to try again this
afternoon. I found an adult Glaucous Gull at the second bridge on the
west side of the dike road. It was with about 8 Herring and 2 California
Gulls. It appears there are two Glaucous out there, a 2nd Winter bird and
an adult bird. I could never find the 2nd winter bird. Other than
numerous Bald Eagles, that was the highlight of the short trip.
