Northern Utah sightings

Some sightings for Sunday February 2:

Both a Peregrine Falcon and a Prairie Falcon along 12th Street in
Ogden, about 3 and 4 miles west of I-15, respectively.
A Lewis's Woodpecker in Pleasant View, on a telephone pole just
before the entrance to Pole Patch Estates.
Eleven Least Sandpipers near mile marker 1 on the Antelope Island
Causeway, south side.
Merlin, in Syracuse, near 3000 West and 2700 South (on top of a
house).
Harris's Sparrow, on Gentile Street in Layton, seen about halfway
between Bluff Street and WAM Flying Field (near the radio towers and
Layton Marsh Preserve). With a large flock of White-crowned Sparrows.
A dark adult "Harlan's" race Red-tailed Hawk, in west Kaysville.
It was seen along Angel Street, about 1/4 mile south of the Kaysville
Veterinary Clinic, in some large trees east of the road. We had
excellent looks through the scope, and it was a dead ringer (well, live,
really) for both Sibley and Nat'l Geographic - dark, blackish hawk with
white streaking on the upper breast, small amount of white on back of
head and wings, tail grayish-white with darker band on tip. It was being
harrassed by about 6 magpies.
At Farmington Bay WMA, several good birds, most along the west dike
and at the end -- 2nd winter Glaucous Gull (first bridge), 5 Least
Sandpipers (end), Peregrine Falcon (first bridge), Prairie Falcon (in the
three big "eagle" trees), 10 Tundra Swans (end), 2 Am. White Pelicans
(first bridge), 2 Western Grebes (2nd bridge).
