I went out today just around Utah County. I am trying to do a big month for Utah County this month. I had a great start. I started out at the Utah County Landfill in Lindon where I saw a Red Necked Grebe, and several Utah County birders including Eric Huish and Tuula Rose got to identify it as well. Next I saw two Tundra Swans at the Lindon Boat Harbor. I then went to Powell Slough accessed from the city of Orems Waste Water Treament Plant. Here I saw a White Winged Scoter and a Peregrine Falcon. Eric Huish, Tuula Rose, and the Cundicks all got to identify this bird as well. Eric and I ran down to the Provo Boat Harbor after that. We were able to see a Snow Goose flying around the Boat Harbor. He flew off to the west towards the lake. He may come back. Who knows? Pretty great day to start my big month.
