Warbler fest continues

The hot-spot is getting hotter! Dennis was able to relocate the redstart
Thursday night about 7pm. No luck this morning though. The black & white
is still around right in the same area. All you need to do is play 3
seconds of his song and he'll be in your face.
This morning (Fri 8.24.01) Dennis Hawkeye found a Cassins vireo, Bryan
Hawkeye Jr. found a yellow-breasted chat and I found a black-throated
gray warbler (Dennis's yesterday's maybe is now confirmed). This brings
the warbler count to eleven.
Other good birds in the area include black-headed and blue grosbeaks,
willow flycatcher, western tanager, Brewers sparrow and a purple martin
(Th) among the many swallows in the half-dead Russian olive across the
stream.
Have fun! ~ Tuula
