Fw: GSLA Update on surveys at Jordan River State Park

I am forwarding this message to all of you wonderful birders because there
is a desperate need for you to show up at the following location and talk to
the surveyors. The land which is being ravaged by "off road vehicles",
model airplane enthusiasts, etc., was and should still be prime nesting
habitat for Snowy Plovers. I doubt that the number of birders who take part
in the survey will be as high as the number of 4 wheeler enthusiasts.
However, we should make a strong point that "the land is not even for us
'birder'...it is the exact type of terrain critically needed for the Snowy
Plovers who have been nesting there for thousands of years. And the hundreds
or thousands of them that need that particular type of habitat are not able
to take part in the survey. So we are speaking for them." Please folks,
take part in this effort on behalf of the birds we appreciate so much. If
we don't do it nobody will. Thank you in advance.
Gary Grubb

Subject: GSLA Update on surveys at Jordan River State Park

> Below is current information about the need for birders and walkers to

> Surveyors will be there today (July 11) from about 1:00pm or 2:00pm until

The
