Lark Buntings in Wash. Co.

This evening from 7:30 to 8:00, I watched seven Lark Buntings (5 male, 2
female) in the Flora-tech Fields West of Hurricane. Males were in breeding
plumage and singing. The Flora-tech road runs south from SR-9 in the
Brentwood area and passes a few farms, a pecan orchard, and eventually leads
to the Sand Hollow Reservoir Construction area. The Lark Buntings were in a
loose flock near a large, newly constructed cement block building. This
building is located along a small dirt road (running west from the main
road) near the back of the fields. The buntings were in the area where the
fields transition to native desert habitat. A pair of Burrowing Owls were
also in the area.
If anyone needs any additional information please let me know,
Rick
