E. Widgeon, Greater White-Fronted Goose, Peregrine Falcon

The European Widgeon is still on the pond where it has been seen lately. I
saw it tonight (1/23) just after 5:00 pm. I also saw the Greater
White-Fronted Goose finally. It flew into the golf course just as the sun
was setting with a large flock of Canada Geese. I saw it as the flock flew
over which was lucky because they landed too far into the golf course to
see them on the ground. I have also seen a single Peregrine Falcon on the
East Bay Golf Course the last two evenings. Tonight it caught a drake
Northern Shoveler above a pond just east of the near traffic light on the
I-15 off-ramp.

Good birding,

Brian
