Iron Co. Lapland Longspur

A first winter Lapland Longspur was along Quichapa Lake Rd. in southern
Cedar Valley this morning (Sun. 11/19). The bird was alone. After seeing it
well it flew off giving its typical longspur rattle and did not return.
Quichapa L. Rd is reached from Cedar City by taking Hwy. 56 west for about 8
miles. The bird was about 2½ miles down the road.
