Detailed description of bird:   It had black underwing coverts, throat, underparts and vent.  The tail was black with 2-3 white stripes.  The primaries and secondaries were noticeably paler that the coverts.  The tail was long and rounded.

Behavior:   Soared and circled.
Habitat:   Reservoir, sage-pinyon-juniper, mtns. nearby.

  Turkey Vulture: The bird had white tail stripes.
