Bullock's Oriole etc. at Airport Dike April 25th

A trip down to Utah Lake state park and the airport
dike yesterday (April 25th) yielded a few spring
migrants.

At the park there was a single AMERICAN TREE SPARROW
on the rocks along the southeast side of the dike. A
small flock of YELLOWLEGS (lesser?) flew past, along
with a CASPIAN TERN and an AMERICAN PIPIT.

There were also hundreds of SWALLOWS of at least 4
species overhead.

Near the west entrance to the airport dike there was a
single SORA calling (in the patch of phragmites that a
burnt section).

Near the east entrance was a single male BULLOCK'S
ORIOLE, 1 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON, and at least 20
FRANKLIN'S GULLS flew past.

Cheers,
