When something good happens other than what was expected!

After working for 4 1/2 hours to try to find the birds that Rick Fridell
and Larry Tripp had seen earlier at Lytle Ranch, I had no success.  But,
Lytle's Ranch continues to live up to its reputation for the unexpected.

On the dirt road leading to the new reservoir (which is now dry)-
southwest of the ranch house on the other side of the stream, I found a
white throated sparrow with a small flock of white crowned sparrows.
Birding was very slow with only 25 species observed
