Josh Kreitzer myself and Amber a BYU student went out birding this morning in the foothills above the valley. We first went up Squaw Peak Road and saw a lot of singing Spotted Towhees. Next we went to Vivian Park and enjoyed a pair of Dippers and a Red Breasted Nuthatch in the Cottonwoods near the pond. Also some Pine Siskens. Next we stopped near Canyon Glen and Amber and I saw a Fox Sparrow. Also Belted Kingfishers were fun to watch. Next we went to Rock Canyon. Besides all the Black Capped Chickadees and Scrub Jays we saw a pair of Bushtits building a nest in the wash about 100 yards up. There were Stellar Jays up in the furs. Also we heard Chukars and Canyon Wrens. It was a beautiful morning to do some birding. Hope all is well.
