Canadian birders visiting Vegas

I've received a couple of e-mails from some Canadian birders who will be visiting Las Vegas and wanted to know about birding in the area. We will go whereever the birding is best. We have rented a car and it isn't all that far to go out your way (in Alberta we measure highway distances in hours usually!) I will leave it to the local experts. I have looked at the website but couldn't understand where the places in the postings were.
If you could suggest someone that I could talk to that would be great too.
