Coming out of church today there were robins
making a raucous in a nearby juniper. There has been a flock of
Cedar Waxwings in town and they were there, all up set with their crests as
high as they could go and their bodies alert. A Brown Creeper was
scurrying up a near by tree, not really taking time to look for bugs. A
black capped chickade chattered it's way across the yard to another tree.
I really thought there was probably a cat in the tree but it turn out to be a
Merlin. What a delight, the first one for me this year. It was
beautiful.
