I was there a little earlier than Glenn and didn't see any
phalaropes either. It was a real treat to see so many
shorebirds though. I don't get to see nearly as many birds
up here in Island Park (ID) even though there were surely
more birds a month ago. Highlights for me were a Snowy
Plover, seven American Golden Plovers and a fly by group of
four Black-bellied Plovers. Good thing the BB Plovers have
a distinctive call or I would have missed them altogether.
