Subject: Information on Barred Owls in UT
Email_Address: frankhowe@utah.gov
Message: Hi - I'm interested in any Barred Owl sightings you've made or are
aware of in Utah. I've heard of two sightings in the last couple of years,
but can't find any information on them. There's a potential for Barred Owls
to hybridize with Mexican Spotted Owls (not a good thing since the Spotted
Owls are Threatened)and I'd like to know if that potential exists in Utah. -
Thanks for your help; you can reach me at 801-538-4764 or
frankhowe@utah.gov. Frank Howe, Avian Program Coordinator, UDWR
