Great Horned Owl

Yesterday evening, my husband and I went to look for the Great Horned Owl
near pineview reservoir someone posted about a few weeks ago.  After
scanning the trees for a while, we were able to see it, and wouldn't you
know there was a not so little owlet nestled up against it.  At first I
mistook the baby for another branch in the tree, but then it moved its
head and looked right at us. This was my first time seeing this species of
owl when it was not in flight.
