We visited foggy Utah county today and found green-winged teal at Provo
Marina, the Harris's sparrow and a spotted towhee at the silage pit near
Swede Lane (previously reported), wigeons, shovelers, common goldeneye, and
a sharp-shinned hawk (thanks to Tuula) at Salem Pond, and a beautiful
Cooper's hawk in a tree (across the road) from the Geneva Cooling Ponds
around 4:30 - 5:00 pm.
The Harris's sparrow was a life bird for both Nicky and me and the Cooper's
Hawk was a life bird for Nicky.
