Subject: Utah Co., 10-12-03

Message: Pomera and I birded River Lane yesterday.  Fairly birdy but nothing 
unusual--Yellow-rumps, Orange-crowned, Bewick's Wren, Ring-necked Pheasant.  
Went to Mills exit off I-15 south of Nephi.  Finally we found some water and 
mudflats, but the birds hadn't found it!  Did see a Golden Eagle and and a 
Red-tailed Hawk.  Stopped at Utah Lake and birded the south jetty.  Thought 
we had a Golden Plover but it turned out to be a Black-bellied--light sure 
can fool you!
