I'm still really new to this but, I'm pretty darn sure I saw two Sandhill Cranes the other day off of Warm Springs Road in Midway, Utah. However, my bird book says that Sandhill Cranes are not usually in this area, so I was just wondering. We heard their distinctive call and saw the two fly by and land in a marshy area of reeds. I was surprised, they're pretty big birds. My friend thought they were both males; but I don't know, is there any observable differences in color or patterns to distinguish males from female Sandhill Cranes?
