glaucous-winged gull

Today at Farmington Bay I saw 1 adult Glaucous-winged Gull.  It was in the rest pond about 

straight out from where the boat launch is.  More importantly, that meant I was relatively 

close to Bear River when news of the whistling ducks broke.  

I saw them a little after 3pm just west of the temporary visitors center.  

I talked to Pomera just about sunset and apparently the birds had

flown a little bit to the north and landed again somewhere out of sight, but still closeby.
