Tonight at my feeder in Central I watched a First fall male Ruby-throated
Hummingbird. After very careful study to eliminate everything but a
Archilochus Hummingbird while watching the bird through my scope I was able
to see a few red gorget feathers. The bird was defending one of my feeders
from all other hummers up until dark so I hope it will still be around in
the morning.I did get some poor quality photos through my scope but I hope
to get better ones in the morning. I will let you know if it's still around
tomorrow if anyone wants to look for it.
