Subject: Cackling Goose

Message: The cackling goose (B. h. leucopareia) continues at the Oxbow in
Cache County on Saturday, April 23, 2005. It has been seen off and on all
the past week. It is often seen wtih a small flock of non-breeding Canada
geese or by itself. The bird is often slightly north of west from the
lookout in the grassy areas among the pockets of open water. Photos were
taken today as well.
