Mark your calendars for the first CBC at Ouray NWR/Green River on Jan. 2 which is the day after the Dinosaur NM/Jensen CBC.

The following birds were seen within the survey route:

Canada geese 450
Common merganser 9
Bald eagle 13
Red-tailed hawk 2
Northern harrier 2
American kestrel 1
