Hello,
While visiting my In-Laws in Leeds over the Thanksgiving day weekend and
observed a male PRARIE WARBLER fly in and make a brief appearance at a
private residence. The Prarie Warbler was chased away by a Yellow-rumped
warbler. Later that afternoon the Prarie Warbler made a second appearance
and stayed a little longer and I had some great views at only 20' with 10X
binoculars. (This is the third time that I have observed this species).
The cold front blew through on Saturday evening and I did not see the bird
on Sunday morning. This bird seemed to be ranging all around the center
of the town so it could be just about anywhere. It seemed to prefer the
cottonwoods and willow trees the most.
Good Birding,
David Taylor
Yuma,Az.
