St. George, Bloomington area, Christensen's Park: 10-16-04 - 8:00
a.m., This morning I saw a dark-eyed thrasher sitting on the fence next
to the wilderness at Christensen's Park. I thought it was a Crissal
Thrasher, it was brown (really quite dark) but had a dark eye. It sat
for about 3 minutes, turning its head one way and then another. No
song. Finally it jumped down and disappeared into the chaparral and
tamerisk. If you are in the area, tell me if you see it. Has anyone
ever seen a California Thrasher in this area?
