Hi All,
Milt, Tuula, and I spent the day in several northern Utah counties today. Here's a list of the rarities we chased and the results.
Blue Jay - One has apparently shown up at a residence in Mt Green, Morgan County.
We went to the address, no one was home, and didn't see the bird. Will let
everyone know the status of this bird when we find out.
Surf Scoter - An immature has shown up at the Morgan
Water Treatment Facility. We saw the bird
at noon. It's apparently been around for a
few days. The gates are locked to the
ponds. You can either park at the gate
and climb thru the fence or call Arnold
Smith, who will let you in if he's available.
Hm #829-3383 Cell #791-5390
Brant - Still at BRMBR at 2:00pm thursday.
Sabine's Gull - Still at AIC last bridge before island at
4:00pm thursday.
Magnolia Warbler - Ran out of time for Garr Ranch.
Anybody with news about this bird?
Good Luck, Dennis Shirley
PS. I'm not going to wade into the pro/con hunting
discussion, but it appears by some responses
we'd best stick to things we think we know
something about - birding.
