I was in Pine Valley on Sat. and watched a mixed flock with 2 Hermit
Warblers, a Townsend Warbler a couple BT Gray's mixed in with Y Rumps,
Nuthatches and Chickadees. Then a hour or so later in a different area I saw
a Hermit Warbler in with a group of Pygmy Nuthatches and shortly after that
I saw another alone about 200 yards away from that group of birds. So there
may have been as many as 4 birds or I may have just saw the same 2 again.
There was also a N. Goshawk up there on Saturday.
I went to Lytle Ranch on Friday and saw mostly western migrants and the
usual resident birds that are there but there was a American Redstart (
first fall male ) near the parking area.
