Temperature at 7:30 am: -12.  We don't care how cold it gets as long as it
keeps snowing to give us relief from the drought (I use 'we' rather
loosely).  The last snowfall pushed some geese back out and the elk moved
off somewhere too.  The following birds were seen within the survey route:

Canada geese            250
Mallard                     4
Bald eagle                  7
Rough-legged hawk           2
Northern harrier            1
American kestrel      1
Red-tailed hawk       1
Golden eagle                1
