Re: Gadwall



The bird was in a pond at an industrial park found by taking the I-15
exit just South of Novell and driving East. Also present were several
Northern Shovelers and of course, Mallards.  I was in a hurry to get a
good Shoveler photo and didn't notice the odd neck until I downloaded
the picture to my computer.

Of course, the picture isn't "doctored". I'm trying to get accurate
photos each time I go birding for my personal web site and have no
reason to perpetuate a hoax on myself.

I was concerned that the bird had sustained an injury to his neck.
