Gadwall

If you are interested, kindly give me your opinion of this Gadwall.  I
don't see one with a pink neck in any of the guide books.  Do you all
think it is a mix, a molt not showing in the books, the books are wrong,
it isn't a Gadwall, or did the poor bird narrowly miss being someone's
dinner?
