Subject: Eurasian Widgeon
Hi, Nan--Good birds today at Hyrum reservoir, esp. the east side, incl one
male Eurasian widgeon, 35+ Tundra swans, 2 canvasbacks, a few Bonaparte's
gulls, along with several ducks (no sea ducks) and loons. The E. widgeon
was right at the east shore, to the south, in with several widgeons and the
swans. Overall, a great quantity of birds on the pond!
I'm no pro on Eurasian widgeons, but I've never seen one here in the
fall/winter before.
Good birding,
Sue Drown
