Today my Dad, my brother J and I birded along the creek through
camalot woods in springville. Still no luck with finding any of
the winter wrens that have been reported. We did see another
swamp sparrow though. If you follow the four-wheeler tracks there
were some white flags tied on a tree near the area where the
sparrow was seen. I saw a swamp sparrow another 1/4 mile (?) west
of there (almost to the lake) a few weeks ago.
This afternoon while I listened to BYU get beat by the U
I drove to East Canyon Res. and the Scoter and the long-tailed
duck are still there. So it turned out to be a poor day for BYU
fans but a pretty good day birding.
