Nancy:
You probably heard that Ron Ryel found a male Eastern Bluebird
on the CBC on Saturday at the east end of the Logan country club
golf course near the canal. I went Sunday afternoon and had
fabulous luck. It appeared just as I got to the no trespassing sign at
the south end of the canal path. It was in a mixed flock of robins
and house finches. The sun shone on it's lovely colors. The canal
path is accessible from Lundstrom Park on 1600 east. I found the
section of the path just immediately south of the park to be full of
bird life in mid afternoon including robins bathing in the canal (near
the private tennis court on the east edge of the canal). South of that
first block there was a lot less bird life.
Happy birding!
Jean
