This morning I walked along the Jordan River Parkway and spotted a male
Barrow's Goldeneye. The location of the bird was just north of the Decker
Canal outlet, although there is goldeneyes all along the river north of
Parley's Creek Outlet. The best place to look for the bird would be on theeast
side of the river in the mourning. Use 900 West until you go over the
Parley's Creek bridge then take a side street to the river. I normally park in
the Larry Miller Parts parking lot on the south end. There is a nice walkway
all along the river. I have seen a large number of ducks there, and with the
sun to your back you are able to get very good views.
