I stopped by the lake a couple of days ago to see if I could find the
Ross's goose people have been reporting. The only white geese I could see
were all white with orange beaks, but no black on the primaries. Swimming
with them were several gray geese with white stripes around their faces,
like the great white-fronted goose in my bird book. Can anyone tell me if
those are wild or tame geese? Also, has anyone seen the Ross's goose
recently?
Thanks much.
Dave Hanscom
