On Saturday Matthew Thorum, Mary Anne Thorum, and myself went after the
Acorn Woodpecker Dennis Shirley had put on the birdnet week or so ago.
Thanks Dennis. Your directions were great. We got the bird right
where he said it would be. We played with that bird for over an hour
trying to get it to stay still long enough for Matt to get a photo. No
luck. Dennis is right . It looks like it is planning to stay a
while. It is flying between at least four dead penderosa pines in the
close area.
Go after it.
