I went to Dimple Dell this afternoon to find the Lewis's Woodpeckers. They allowed for some great looks from the trail, I was only 30ft or so away from the power pole, but they are not photogenic, I missed a great shot of one perched on the wire. There were five of them three adults and two juveniles all pecking at the power pole.
Thank to Deedee O'Brien, I have been looking for those guys for a while. I also noticed a large number of Scrub Jays I have not seen too many of them this year.
