I am interested in any observations of Caspian Terns breeding or potentially breeding in the state of Utah from the dates of 1990-2002. I have already spoken with the DWR, but their data has been apparently limited for the last decade. I am especially interested in Utah Lake and the Bear River Refuge (GSL). The information is being used for a review of Caspian Tern breeding in North America compiled on the behalf of the USFWS. Please respond directly to me.

I would also alert Utah birders that we have been color-banding Caspian Terns in the Oregon and Washington for the last five years and we would be very keen on your accounts of any banded birds. Please check out http://www.columbiabirdresearch.org/ to learn more about reporting band sightings and on-going research on these fantastic birds.

Thanks for your time and happy birding,
Dave
