Did everyone hear about the research done on New Caledonian crows by Oxford 
University?  The results were on various news reports today (MSNBC for 
one).  You can read about it and also see a short movie showing how a 
female crow formed a tool from a piece of wire (completely surprising the 
research group.)  It's pretty cute.  Here's the link:
