We've seen a few good birds on the "Shorebirds of the Inland Sea" tour, which began yesterday.
Yesterday (Thursday), we saw a Pectoral Sandpiper in the eastern-most of the ponds on the south
side of I-80, about 1 mile west of the Tooele exit. Other shorebirds there included Lesser
Yellowlegs, Baird's Sandpiper and Long-billed Dowitcher.
This morning, we toured the Inland Sea Shorebird Reserve (Thanks, Ann!) where we saw a Whimbrel
and a Semi-palmated Plover among other, more common shorebirds.
Good birding!
