Enjoyed some good birding at the Beaver Creek
Picnic area on the Mirror Lake Highway this Friday morning. Many Western
Wood Pewees and Willow Flycatchers, plus an Olive-Sided Flycatcher. Also a pair
of Belted Kingfishers, a House Wren, numerous Black-headed Grosbeaks, a Ruffled
Grouse, a Red-breasted Nuthatch, and the usual Northern Flickers, Black-capped
Chicadees, Juncos and Robins, plus a variety of sparrows that I always need my
wife's experience to identify.
