Roy Groesbeck and I took the long trip to Zion's today, and were rewarded by
the Painted Redstart. What a stunning bird. It is a little guy. The book says
5 3/4 inches, but it is skinny and looks smaller than a yellow warbler. We
also saw a peregrine falcon, 3 black phoebes, 2 dippers, a yellow warbler, a
black throated sparrow and other regular birds. The redstart is right where
the directions say. Jack Binch
