I wondered if you have any ideas about this: Last spring I was camping in Grand Staircase Escalante area and every morning we heard a bird sing - he had a lovely trill - it was a few

seconds long and at the end of the melody, he switched from a low note to a high note. We never did see the bird! He must have blended in well with environment, I saw no outstanding colors.

I know this is so vague - I have tried to solve this mystery by listening to all kinds of songs. It was not the canyon wren, I know that song very well. He must have been small - I think he was a wren of some sort. I have a nature relaxation tape and the melody is on that tape but not identified. Oh well if you have any ideas......
